Hello Kate Wolf Kickstarters!

We hope you’re enjoying your music from our Reissue Kate Wolf’s Last Three Albums campaign. If you have any questions or experienced any issues, please contact us at [email protected]. A few folks haven’t completed the survey, and I just sent reminders to them. The pledge manager will close on February 14th, but you can always email us after that time.

New Kickstarter: Kate Wolf Custom Photo & Lyrics Posters

In celebration of Kate’s 79th birthday on January 27th, we launched a new Kickstarter campaign. Backers can create their own custom 11” x 17” Kate Wolf poster from a selection of photos and the Kate Wolf song lyrics of their choice. Please take a look!

Backer Rewards Sent Monday, November 30th

Dear Kate Wolf Kickstarters,

Rewards for the Reissue Kate Wolf’s Last Three Albums campaign are on the way to backers who completed the survey in our pledge manager. U.S. shipments should arrive by next week. It can take a few weeks for packages to arrive in other countries, especially those with customs or VAT requirements. FYI, those who ordered stickers will receive a separate envelope.

Digital Downloads

Everyone who chose a reward level in Kickstarter and who completed the survey should also have received an email with digital download instructions. (If not, use the link in the survey email to access downloads.) Albums are provided in both mp3 and flac formats. Backers only need to download the format they prefer. 

Didn’t Receive The Survey Email?

Check your trash or spam for email from [email protected]. Nothing there? Add that email address to your address book and then go to https://reissue-kate-wolfs-last-three-albums.backerkit.com. Enter the email address you signed into Kickstarter with when you backed the Kate Wolf campaign, and BackerKit will resend the survey email. Still nothing? Email us at [email protected] and we’ll fix it!

Backer Surveys Are On Their Way

Dear Kate Wolf Kickstarters,

This is a quick note to let you know that we’re sending surveys to backers in the next few days.

Why a survey?

The survey gathers information from a backer to ensure that a project creator (Kate’s family in this case) has the necessary information to fulfill the pledge the backer made in Kickstarter

Where’s the survey email coming from?

All backers will receive an email from “BackerKit”, the pledge manager tool we’re using. The email contains a link unique to each backer.

What do I need to do?

When you receive the survey email, click the link to go to BackerKit. Review your pledge level (you can change it if you wish). You can also select any optional add-ons, such as the Kate Wolf 75th Birthday Concert double CD album. Enter your shipping address if you have any physical items.

When’s the survey response deadline?

Please complete your survey by mid-November so we have time to prepare for shipping orders on Monday, November 30th.

What happened to the funds I pledged in Kickstarter?

The amount of your Kickstarter pledge transferred to BackerKit as a “credit”. This includes any extra funds you may have included, such as the $11 for the Kate Wolf 75th Birthday Concert album. If your credit doesn’t cover shipping (for physical items only) and any (optional) add-ons, BackerKit will ask you to enter your credit card details.

Is it too late for a friend to join the campaign?

Not at all! Anyone who didn’t pledge via Kickstarter can head directly to our BackerKit pre-order store. The discount that Kickstarter backers received for the three reissued albums is no longer available, but we feel prices are still reasonable: $13 for a single CD and $8 for a single download.

Final Kate Wolf Weekend!

Dear Kate Wolf Kickstarters,

The Reissue Kate Wolf’s Last Three Albums campaign ends on Sunday, October 11 at 9:00pm Pacific Time. This is everyone’s last chance to change or edit their pledge level or amount and to share the campaign with friends and family. Thanks for spreading the word!

Stretch Goals

We went way over our stretch goals...that's amazing...thank you! So what happens to those additional funds? We’re putting them towards the reprint of the Kate Wolf Revisited songbook, which is included in the “Everything Kate - Physical Media” reward. It will also be available as an add-on in the pledge manager (more about that below).

What’s Currently Happening at Owl Records

• Compact discs for Kate’s last three albums are in production.
• The Kate Wolf Revisited songbook is in production.
• We’re sending Kate Wolf 75th Birthday Concert artwork and audio to the duplicator.

What’s Coming in October & November

• Kickstarter charges pledge amounts to backer credit cards after the campaign closes.
• Owl Records sends each backer a unique link to the “pledge manager” and provides details about how the pledge manager works (late October).
• Backers visit the pledge manager to add any items such as the Kate Wolf 75th Birthday Concert double CD album. Those with physical rewards will also enter a shipping address (the pledge manager will add the shipping cost as described on our campaign page).
• Owl Records emails instructions for digital downloads (end of November).
• Owl Records ships physical rewards (end of November).

Kate Wolf 75th Birthday Concert Album: Stretch Goals Met!

Dear Kate Wolf Kickstarters,

Thanks to you, we achieved both stretch goals to release a double album of the Kate Wolf 75th Birthday Concert! Backers of all reward levels will receive a digital download. And all backers can choose to increase their pledge by $11 to receive the 2-CD set.

And A Few Other Updates

CD Duplication is now in progress for Close To You, Give Yourself To Love, and Poet’s Heart. We'll receive those in plenty of time to ship out rewards as planned at the end of November.

We’re also reprinting Kate Wolf Revisited (songbook volume 2). It’s included in the “Everything Kate - Physical Media” reward level. The proofs look great and the book will go into production soon. This printing has new photos and even a few “new” songs that we uncovered since its original release in 1991.

Kickstarter selected our campaign as a “Project We Love”. I imagine there are a few Kate Wolf fans behind the scenes there. :-)
